It is hard to believe it is almost 6 months since Ian suddenly and tragically left us; it seems like yesterday that he was still here, yet conversely it seems like he has been away such a long time.....
When I look at photos of him he looks so alive, so full of life - and it is hard to believe he is not coming back, with his smiling face, and positive energy.
There is rarely a day that goes past that I do not think of Ian; having recently started a new job, I constantly remind myself of all the positive things people have said about Ian. How he was always smiling and happy; how he always saw the upside in every situation no matter how bad. How he inspired so many to perform better; how he combined business with pleasure. I try to apply those attributes to many things I do in the hope that I can be a better person and just a little like him.
He continues to touch the lives of so many and I know will do so for many many years to come. I am truly honoured to have known Ian for so many years, and god - do I miss him. His great company, his cooking, his support, his words of wisdom and comfort. He left a great legacy in his wonderful wife, Sharon, and marvellous children, Laura and William, whom we all adore; their dignity and strength since Ian left has lead the way for so many of us, and has been a great example and strength to so many of us - a wonderful tribute to a fantastic man.
Rest in peace Ian and god bless you; you are no longer with us in body, but with us in spirit forever.....
