Tuesday 24th May 2005 would have been our 25th Wedding Anniversary. As do most couples who have been married for several years, Ian and I used to talk about how we would celebrate this day. We talked about having a big party, going to Vegas and renewing our vows at an Elvis drive in, bungee jumping strapped together off a bridge in South Africa or going out with close friends to celebrate!!! As you can guess I decided on the latter so I went with Jenny and Tony to lunch at Auberge Du Lac in the grounds of Brocket Hall. We had a lovely time the setting was perfect and within walking distance of the bench to Ian which sits on the brow of the hill on the 18th hole at Brocket golf course. It overlooks the house and the lake and is a perfect setting. After lunch we walked up to the bench, Jen laid some flowers and we reminisced about times gone by and all the fun and love we have shared. It felt very much like being on the set of Last of the Summer Wine but neither Jen or I were volunteering to be Nora Batty. Later I went to the Cemetery with a card and a single rose, where did the time go? It went by so fast but we were so very lucky, we had it all.................... Love and Miss you always Eee. Millions of millions Sharon
